Alien- Someone from another country
Immigrant- Somone who came from another place. Moving from one state to another make one an immigrant to the new area.
Legal Alien- One who is granted permission, of any type, to enter the US or its territories. Being a legal alien does not confer residency!
Resident alien- This means one was granted GOVERNMENT permission to live inside US territories.
Illegal immigrants- One who crosses US borders ILLEGALLY, either because permission was not sought or it was denied.
Illegal alien-Someone who’s continued presence, inside the Borders of the US and its territories, Is against the law. ALL illegal immigrants are illegal aliens, but not the other way around. A small percentage of illegal aliens are illegal because their legal residency expired.
Naturalized citizens- ARE US CITIZENS that were priviously resident aliens. They have ALL the rights afforded to natural born citizens, save the ability to serve as President of the USA.

AND for those that are against the illegals and cannot fathom the differences either. I understand that there ARE those on both side that DO understand. I just wanted to inform the ignorant people.

And the Pro-Crime guys need to get a grip and stop trying to convince EVERYONE that All aliens are the same.

AngelaR, why do you assume that every Mexican is an illegal immigrant? That is far from the case. Not only that, not every illegal immigrant is Mexican. If you were to say that you don’t like child molesters, should I take that as a slur against my race? Most child molesters are from my race, so should I be offended? It doesn’t make sense does it? So why should you be offended because I say I don’t approve of illegal immigration? It is not a slur against ANY nationality. It is a slur against the act. (By the way, I’m not in any way equating child molestation with illegal immigration. As far as I’m concerned, child molestation is perhaps the only crime for which a person should be executed. I’m just using that to illustrate my point.) I understand if you have relatives who are illegal immigrants you might get touchy about the subject, but facts are facts. It is not called illegal immigration because there is nothing wrong with it. There is another kind of immigration called legal. Why do you think that is?

Illegals, hispanics, mexican citizens=MEXICANS….Yes i am american, but my parents are from Mexico, so naturally I am going to associate with that group of people….
My loyality is to this country, but I still have my heart with the mexican people, sorry but when you say horrible things about an illegal, you say it about me too, since I am also orignally from mexico (my parents were)….
