Where can I get REAL government grants?

Most of the govt grants that are emailed to me, you have to pay first. I am scared to try and have been scammed once already. I am a student supporting myself for private art school, so school expenses are over the top for me. I need government grants or more scholarships, but I always seem to be looking in the wrong places. PLEASE help me!.. advice or any legitimate info would be great

Applying for grants from the government is free. You do it at http://fafsa.ed.gov
NEVER NEVER NEVER pay to apply or get information on a government grant because they are all scams. The only REAL grants for people to go to college are by filling out the fafsa at the above link. Contrary to popular belief their aren’t hundreds and hundreds of grants out there that people can apply for. Don’t get scammed again.

PS: the best sources of financial aid (grants, loans, work study and parent loans) are through your school. A private art school is going to be ridiculously expensive and only for those who can afford it. I’m sure you aren’t the only one who wanted to attend without the funds to do so. If they can’t help you by providing information about scholarships they offer, then they aren’t a very good school.
