Will I still get my Pell grant and Government loans if we owe the Irs and are paying them monthly?
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010we just found out we owe 4,000 to the irs for a misfiled tax return last year..We are going to set up a monthly payment plan to the IRS..I was hoping and wondering If I can continue in college with the Government Pell grants and student loans even while paying them back? or if they will not give me anymore money?
You’ll probably still get them unless fraud was involved. But "going to set up" a payment plan isn’t the same as "are paying them monthly" so get that started asap.
